Paul Blest Long Way Home
maybe this time i'm gonna finally figure out what i'm doing here.
because i could do without the drunken nights and almost fistfights that plagued our last year.
me and my friends are made of piss and vinegar, or so we'd like to think.
that we're loyal like dogs but we hate being attached to the leash for too long.
this road knows me well, i've done my part in wearing it down.
they're all falling into place but it seems we're falling out.
and i wouldn't have it any other way.
but don't you know? this is how we grow up. odds and ends turn into uniformity.
we go through rough patches and skip out on exits just to change our routines.
and i thought our heroes said it best, when they told us to rise above.
but these days it seems the only way to stay afloat is to stay under the radar.
