So sometimes it's hard being a single lady, because no
one tells you the truth.
Because when you're friends with a man, you never know
what he's thinking,
Then one day a different friend points out, That guy's
totally into you
And from then on, from that day, the whole thing has
been devalued.

Because, as the friend, you think that the last guy was
a jerk,
Because in your eyes I could only ever be, truly, happy

And every invitation or action is in a whole new light,
Because everything you do, has been devalued.

Why does every guy seem to say I'm not hitting on you,
I'm just a flirt?
Like I don't have eyes, like I can't see, you over
there putting your arm around me.
Stop looking me over and over, you've known me long
enough, you know what I damn-well look like.
Gentleman, when a lady's voice isn't being heard, it
tends to make us feel devalued.
The whole thing has been devalued.
Because you're the friend who wants to be allot more,
but if you found out I was with someone new, you'd run
away, you'd disappear.
Because you don't really want to be my friend, do you?
With you it's all or nothing, so why don't you stop
lying?
Because that kind of blatant disrespect for what I
think, want, and feel, tends to makes ME feel devalued.
