Sometimes it feels like everyone's waiting on me.
And there's way too much counting on me.
And if I falter, I'll cause tears.
And finally confirm everyone's worst fears.
Everybody's got these expectations of me,
And I'm terrified that one day I won't meet them.
I wonder, if it's worse that, I do?
Because then they just keep going on expecting more
from you.
I can't always be a hero you know.
I can't always be confident, and confrontational and
leave a trail of dead bodies in my wake.
Well, I usually can.
There I go again, creating expectations.
Everybody's got these expectations of me,
And I'm terrified that one day I won't meet them.
I wonder, if it's worse that, I do?
Because then they just keep going on expecting more
from you.
Because all I want is for everyone I love to be happy,
A tall order, but then I think I could settle down and
just let be.
And even though I'm tired, and I'm all stressed out, I
won't ever complain to you, Because that would ruin the
perfect image of myself, that I created just for you.
