I know I've gotten around I've been around the block
Seems like I've crawled on or under nearly every single
rock
But when I hit bottom that's when I knew
The panorama at the top is such a better view
It's a much better view
You thought I didn't notice when you walked in
I needed a head start before the games begin
I knew the way to catch you eye was with something you
can't have
So I was playing hard to get and trying not to laugh
I was over my head out on a limb
Trying not to laugh I was gonna sink or swim
I knew I had just one chance first impressions mean a
lot
So I gathered my emotions gonna give it my best shot
I was doing my best to look unavailable
But when I saw you I knew that was unobtainable

Trying not to laugh being put to the test

Yeah trying not to laugh this is as good as it gets
I don't know what came over me
Responsibilty has always been so hard for me to find
So I just walked up and said, Hey Baby, you knock me
dead
And I just gotta make you mine
He just looked at me and laughed and said, There ain't
nothing to it
Then he took me by the hand and before I knew it
He said that's so funny I'm the same way, too
When I saw you tonight I didn't know what to do
