I thought I heard a voice probably just hearing things

Orleans hotel

The southern sky down there out my window that night
The Old Quarter was glowing in the pale moonlight
I heard a sax blowing in the very next room such a sad
blue song

It's a mystery how that melody with such revelry cast
it's spell on me

I checked out early to catch a flight back home
I asked the front desk, Was that player well known?
He said, You must be mistaken there's no one in that
room.
No one else heard that tune.
