Songdog Barbarella
The December light is fading at my window,
I thought of you last night, I hardly ever do though.
We had a bottle of wine, Nina Simone on the CD,
I watched you chop out a line on the cover of “Quiet Days
In Clichy”.
Now I don’t mean to pretend we meant that much in the end
But when the stars shine down on me I hope they’re
shining down on you too…..
I found that picture I took at the party in Smiler’s
cellar,
You've got this faraway look, you'd come dressed as
Barbarella,
You’re clinging on to this guy, he’s as high as a
satellite,
No matter how I try I can’t seem to shake you out of my
mind tonight.
