I pulled a lever, which opened up a door
That lit up a candle and burnt through a string
That made a small ball fall down a rattling chute
With a rolly-polly action that landed on a switch
Which turned on a motor to rotate a solar panel
To power up a light, which illuminated a sign that

That you put in a package with a commemorative stamp
A man in a van drove it far across the land
To my local Post Office where they put it in a bag
It was taken by a Postie to the house where I live
They handed it over, I opened it up and read:
