Letallis Mirage
Bend the light into my eye
Distant blur, shifting hue
Last breath left for the changing sky
Uttering "Could that be you?"
Taking form of past desire
A horizon lit with fire
Strewn across the plane I find a path, leading me toward your hollow grasp
Traverse the distance just to bring you close
Eyes wide open now I've seen your ghost
Oh, material, fade away
This grand illusion has come to play
It's a hoax, but I can't help but think you're real
Must not provoke this in fear it will leave me
A once high held affinity
Ever changing at different lengths
This illusory appearance is now lacking strength
Observed with the eye, deceived within the mind
A mirage of vacant kinship brought forth in time
Back to the horizon to haunt the next
Blind victim which you shall vex
