John Beres Fascinating World
One day a lonely soul, he walked into a restaurant.
Orders up the usual and lights a smoke.
But today's a little different than the other ones.
Because today he's gonna find a little hope.
He sits upon the stool and grabs the morning post.
Shakes the rain from off his coat.
Then he searches through the pages of the classifieds.
Until he comes across, the one he wrote.
There's a place in time for everyone that ever lived.
When they find out all they thought, they never knew.
Is there anybody in the world that understands?
Who I am, what I stand for, where I've been?
I still can't figure out. Just what I've got to give,
To this fascinating world in which we live.
