Lula's Gone Lyrics

Lula's gone, and she's gone for good

We all wondered if shed ever make it down to New Orleans

Timid as a mouse, you could barely get her out of the house

One day she grabbed the car keys, said 'I'm gonna burn some gasoline'

It's a long road to a better place

She's stepping on the gas aint gonna play it safe

She's counting on her faith to carry on

She just hopes she did not wait, hopes she did not wait

Too long

Before it's gone

Lula had a plan, she knew just where she wanted to be

So she set out, every little thing that she would need

It all comes down to size, was her stomach smaller than her eyes

One day she hit a road block she felt like she would blow to smithereens

It's a long road to a better place

She's stepping on the gas aint gonna play it safe

She's counting on her faith to carry on

She just hopes she did not wait, hopes she did not wait

Too long

Before it's gone

She doesn't take well to rejection

Questions everything she's ever done

But she aint afraid of moving

If it'll take her where she wants to be

It's a long road to a better place

She's stepping on the gas aint gonna play it safe

She's counting on her faith to carry on

She's counting on her faith to carry on

She's counting on her faith to carry on

She's counting on her faith to carry on
