Retreat into the shallows of light,
for weakness finds you safety,
the torment of failed evasion,
deaf from your own cries.
Once realized at ends,
stood alone with fate,
and now you've found,
that you've fallen
Self inflicted wounds,
won't numb the pain,
words pierce your heart,
drive you back from whence you came
Standing alone in the darkness,
the world collapses inside,
alone with a pillar of salt,

Fearing the reprisal,
