Big Rig Persistance
some people say that meaning is dead
and there is nothing left to do
about the way we've ended up
but i persist and say they are wrong
one confused little creature
reaches out and tries to have the sun
it keeps on getting burned
but it won't ever learn
its numb from all the damage that's been done
do not say that we are safe
our home town is filled with
bitter drunks building guns
do not say that we are lost
persistence could change even this
persistence is a burning sun
so you've got some problems
i've got some too, what do you expect me to do?

we've sown our seeds in sand
and poisoned all our wells
and taken council with a pack of fools
but brick by brick we should reverse it
we are here to do more than die out
we won't need anything
but the subtle will to peace
