all streams just die right where they begin
everything is fallow even weeds choke
all the cells are bankrupt because the sun went
broke
and if an aspect won't rot of its own accord
cruel hurricanes cleave like avenging swords
bleak old landscape still except for drifting ash
one glance shocks my heart like a plane crash
expansive heart
transform this land
expansive heart
placing what was really always mine
into my hands
my home is loud bright and broad like god revealed
dense clouds drench 50,000 rolling fields
all its animals f..ck with superhuman vigor
and die in time to fertilize the deep woods
my home is alive with war and peace and birth and
death
its rhythm gives cue to tidal waves and babies breath
old sailors drink vov on the freezing coast
and sing the praises of the land that they love most
