We wrapped it up and barrelled it

That can replace this stuff
We need it to make plastic
Petrol and energy
The world would be pretty different
If we don't have electricity
And pretty soon the planes won't be able to fly
There'll be nothing to put in the car to drive
And you won't be able to use your mobile phone
Not that there'd be anyone to call
Oil!
Because the police they all stop working
When they stop getting paid
In fact it feels like everybody
Done exactly the same
Becuse no one fixed the sewers
And the hospitals are shut
The supermarket's empty
And the food is running out
Every inch of our economy
Has fallen to collapse
And believe it or not
Violence erupts
And only the strongest will survive
And most of the world's population will die
Maybe, baby, right now we've got more than we need
