Distant pyres burn in haste
Send both lives and innocence to waste

Fear, tears, the reaper is here
Coming to take them away
They coughed, they scoffed, they spat and they leered
And all gave in to the plague
The open book covered in clay
Pages torn, blown away
The Crown and Thing made a decree
The Plague and the Reaper will agree
