I’ll lie awake on moon lit nights
just glad to be here outside all alone
the speed of life is racing light
so turn out the light and unplug the phone
these days seem to pass me by
so I’ll try not to lose track of the time
every star in the sky keeps on moving
While I’m sitting here holding back all that I can
if the days of this year pass much faster
then the year would be over before it began
time is making it perfectly clear
that if I don’t move on then I’ll just disappear
so I’ll keep track of years that go by
counting stars in the sky
when my life is getting out of hand
the quiet helps to slow me down
please remind me, what I am doing here
