"This reminds me of a song I grew up singing in church: “Faith is Like a Child.” Children are rarely, if ever, skeptics. They believe anything you tell them because they have no reason not to trust you. “You are the adult; you know what you’re talking about; I trust you.” Of course, we adults know that we are fallible and make mistakes all the time. God, however, is not fallible and does not make mistakes. Oh, that we would take Him as His word, and just believe Him with a childlike faith! When things as drastic as Hurricane Katrina or 9/11 happen, our faith is tested. Will we wait earnestly on Him, like watchmen who long for morning to come? Will we trust or will we lose faith?
