Forget the metaphors and those sweet simple similes, I
miss your eyes piercing brilliant blue, but I got
patience, patience for days, A virtue and a curse I wish
I could throw away, I’ve got this knack for over
thinking, and this lack of tact is unmistakably hopeless,
well I’m hopelessly hopeful for what I can and can not
have, don’t cover it up with cautionary lies, whatever
gets you, you’ve always had me, god damn it’s a mess
let’s address the facts, falling into old habits covering
up our tracks, if you knew this would end up like the
last, just another six months that I’ll never get back,
said you wanted, said you wanted to forget the past,
giving up is pretty easy when you come up last, And I’ve
