When I see it all fall away from me
you are there to believe;
peel away all the layers free
to what lives underneath.
After all, in moving through, the changes come so true.
In the slumber of the endless eve
only love will remain;
when two roads cross into the scene
the path I choose is to be.
For I know: From flying high come deepest seas,
but safe and sage, the caged bird sings of soaring free.
