When The West Wind Lyrics

When the west wind was blowin'

And the riders roamed the range

The outlaws are forgottin'

But others take their place

Ride on my darlin'

I hope we meet someday

The cavalry are checkin' everyone

They are taught that way

The sheriff and his possie

Kinda took their place

They don't do enough to help us

We hope they'll win the race

Ride on my darlin'

I hope we meet someday

The cavalry are checkin' everyone

They are taught that way

This tale has been told

The teller has moved on

People find it hard to believe

They know our laws are wrong

Ride on my darlin'

I hope we meet someday

The cavalry are checkin' everyone

They are taught that way

When the west wind was blowin'

And the riders roamed the range

The outlaws will be remembered

They caused mayhem again

Ride on my darlin'

I hope we meet someday

The cavalry are checkin'everyone

They are taught that way
