Willet Keep The Ammo Dry

3 rows of desks, a chalkboard and an overcrowded classroom
With innocence locked in a textbook, underneath their chairs
Overworked, and underpaid, but told exactly what to say
Why is our pledge two words shorter?
It’s easier to say, but isn’t God more important?
I thought we’d get this
In God we trust but we’ll stay up to keep the ammo dry
A hand goes up in the back of the room
He is questioning the new policy
If we aren’t under God, then who are we under?
We have freedoms but still we don’t help out our brothers
