Father, I gouged your eyes out in your sleep. What I've
become I can't let you see. The beauty you prayed for
died with your daughter. I can feel you slipping. You
look so tired. I can feel me sliding on as the years
creep along. My mother cries in another town. Sobs heavy,
like the morning time. She's been gone for fifteen years.
Now, with my sister I'll live long in the sea.
