Undercover Three Nails
A friend mentioned you said you were kind
I didn't think much of it at that time
I had places to go and people to see
I thought that's how everything was supposed to be
But something hurt inside, I had no rest
And in my mind I can hear you say, I hear you say
Three nails, three days, one way to God
Those words keep echo echoing in my mind
In every decision I make I see you crucified
Such a hard death for you to die, such a hard death for
me to buy
And yet I know, I know, I know that it had to be
The only way for you and for me--for you and me was
Three nails, three days, one way to God
Three nails, three days, one way to God
Through the hands on the cross out of the grave and into
my heart
