This is where I sit
Right between the narrow end of it
And watch the colours change
Holding for the day to start again
I don't need a sign
To tell me it's not sinking in
Just a moment of your time
I'll take it when you're travelling
This ground beneath my feet
Can you see it's crumbling
I'll give you what you need
If you let me in this sanctuary
This is where I lie
Looking up at open space and I
Measure out the time
Waiting for this cloud to pass me by
