Every time that I see the light,
Jesus is walking on water tonight.
I say, “all you sinners can go fly a kite”
every time that I see the light.
Every night when I kneel down to pray,
I want to thank God for showing me the day,
but when I get down there, I don’t know what to say.
Every night, I get on my knees to pray.
What is the use in living if living is only to die?
The answers, you see, to questions like these
can be found looking at the sky.
Jesus, grant me forgiveness for my sins.
No one understands all the trouble I’m in.
