I think of my character and the things I've done,
But there is no absolute in right or wrong,
It's not who's good white or bad black,
Because all of us are many shades of gray,
White, black, mixed, good, bad, yeah we're all the same,
We all have the same red blood running through our veins,
Each of us has felt the hurt and quilt all the same,

Bad things I did for what I believed were good reasons,
Good things I done at times for bad reasons.
But then who ain't displayed a shade of gray
So who is anyone of us to Judge anyway.
God is the only one who has the final say

That I been fifty good and I been fifty bad,

Please accept my flaws for what they are,
You know deep down I have a real good heart,
Spontaneous choices made weren't always smart
