Sleepwalk Hysteria
The hand of fear
Wraps into a fist around my throat
I am helpless, powerless
It's grasp is unbreakable
A merciful master
Would have killed me by now
Some hidden trace of kindness
Sparing me this stranglehold
Fear tightens it's grip
Sqeezing the breath out of me
An eternity and finally
I pray for the place of the black
Fear dangels me on the edge
Easing only slightly
When unconsciousness threatens
Only to tighten once more
Finallyfear departs
Leaving me gasping for breath
Not sure if I should be grateful
To have survived once again
