Sleeper Hillbound
things have been alright up here on the surface
but now i must dive down, before you waste my time
we leave ourselves behind in those we set aside
right now you may not mind, but i think you will in time
we are all bound somewhere,
and i’m bound nowhere that you are
but maybe someday
i will learn to open up my arms
soon i’ll be headed for the hills
while everyone is at the mills
this is to say goodbye, and to tell you why
though i’ll be gone before this reaches you
sprawled out in the open fields
