Left many friends behind
I think thay went and thought I lost my mind
But for years I felt confined
With all the small thinking of our time
And I'm convinced nobody would ever have a clue
Of all thet I've been through
Dropped it all, let it fall and I ran to you
The smartest thing I'd ever do
Hated to love, I was concerned
About living life and getting burned
A repeat performance going on in my life
Hated to love but still I'd yearn
And I've returned to relearn
How to live a life worth living
And I wanted to confide
Not to hide but my friends and family
Just couldn't hear my side
So I walked right on by
And tried to live a life
Where I'd finally be satisfied
Most won't agree with me, that's ok by me
''cause I don't agree with most of the population
And popularity don't mean so much to me
I can't invest in their success, it needs interpretation
Seasons change, night turns to day
Why must it all just slip away ?
