End Of An Era Lyrics

Seventh Celestia End Of An Era

Walking through but no-one was there who knew the end of an era,
I found blood on the floor -
Who had been there before me?

Fate's a strange thing I don't understand
(It's all illusions now)

The sound was in the air I'd never heard,
I heard it coming and rescue far away,
The seventh time Celestia had kicked me down and laughed,
and nothing overcame the fact that silence was my friend,

It screamed at me louder than I thought was real,
It had no name but I'm sure I knew its face,
If this was the ending it wasn't all I'd hoped,
The cityscape was empty and the fires raged again,

Once more I cried as the city fell for me
(It's nothing I reveal)

The sound was in the air...

Nothing I'd seen had prepared me for this,
A city that's rubble, and hatred's cruel kiss,
Friends I had seen that I'd never before,
But you were my downfall as ever my dear,

Love was a cruel thing and it wasn't you,

As I looked out over and screamed,
This was all I'd feared, and she touched my shoulder,
Somehow it was worse then,
and I felt I'd betrayed the destruction with my small comfort,
and I wept and the tears hit the ash,
And I knew then that this was the last time I'd ever see you,
Or the city, or myself,
as I turned round and walked off into the cold moonlight.
