Rustic Overtones Everybody Needs To Be Somebody's Friend
Well there?s a blind man sitting on the corner
Hustling busking for change
He?s got a violin case wide open
But there?s nothing to play
That could be me, or you, or him, or her
We?re never guaranteed what we deserve
But my friends don?t ever have to prove me a thing
Why do you hate all of my friends?
Was it something they all said?
Or was it something someone said that they once did?
I know it?s easier to hate than let love in
But everybody needs to be somebody?s friend
And really who are you to judge?
Aren?t we all supposed to forgive?
Is that the moral of the story you forget?
And are you running out of love?
Or you just running out of ways that you can beat yourself to death?
