Running running from my home
From this so called community
I want to be on my own
This place just ain’t for me
I don’t want to be alone
But I can’t take no more of this
From the powers that be
They’ve gone too far
Freedom of speech when no-one hears
But you’d better not speak your mind
Cos the walls have ears
Ask no questions, receive no lives
But if you want a quiet life don’t try and jeopardize
Take me away from here
Let me get on with my life
With no more hatred, no more fear
No more anguish, no more strife
I refuse to play my part
In this role of slow suicide
Until the curtain descends
My life’s mine to decide
Well in this world
There’s little humanity
No more mercy, no more kindness
Where everything is taken for granted
And no-one cares anymore
