I got in town in town a month ago
I headed in like some old ghost
I made a lot of friends I'm glad I found
From the Yucatan of Mexico
We set to sail the eastern shore
Then rode the gales until we came about
And missing things is not the same
When your out here on the wind
And things don't happen like the way
They did way back then
At times I'd like to drop you a line
When the days go end on end
You wait to toss an anchor when you can
I spent time on an endless beach
I watched the Dolphins swim the seas
I climbed to Machu Picchu in Peru
I wondered an uncharted isle
Where folks take pride and always smile
And I'm losing all those memories of you
And missing things is not the same
When your out here on the wind
And things don't happen like the way
They did way back then
At times I'd like to drop you a line
When the days go end on end
You wait to toss an anchor when you can
And these faces they don't seem to change
I'm feeling much better these days
And home's a place where I can rest my head
Living in a paradise
A man don't have to look back twice
Just think about the dreams that lye ahead
