Newtown Neurotics Get Up And Fight
There are people out there, who make me see red
They're making careers from getting out their heads
Competing to be the wreak of the year
Cultivating porridge between their ears
They take, they take and they give nothing back
To a world that may one day break their backs
There are people fighting in every way
To protect the freedoms you enjoy every day
Your opinions have a familiar ring
Nothing I do or say will change anything
You say politics are boring, boring and grey
But would you rather see 'Cruse' brighten everyone's day?
We can't sit back and watch a whole world go down
Jesus Christ!, take a look around
They're getting away with things we shouldn't allow
We're walking around with our heads in a poisonous cloud
Chorus:
Get up, get up and fight
Don't sit around whining and wasting my time
Don't let them ruin your lives
We've been running away but now we're running out of time
Look I'm being honest with you
Oh, If only you knew
The things they do to keep you down
So you dance through the night forgetting your cares
But when the dancing is over the problem's still there
How we gonna make our nations rise?
Agitate, educate and organise!
Governments alone can't cause such distress
Without the people who let them get away with it
Chorus:
Come on, get up, get up and fight
Don't sit around whining and wasting my time
Don't let them ruin your lives
We've been running away but now we're running out of time
Well we've been running, running, running away
We've been running, running, running away
We've been running, running, running away
We've been running awaaaaaaay
