It’s a dark, cold night
And I am invited
I am sorry and contrite
In the dark, cold night
There’s a fence and an old road
Made of cobblestone,
And if I walk there alone,
I’ll be far away from home

Into blackness and in grey

And my mortal life
Is dreadful and worn-out
I misbehaved, now I’m banished from hell
But I’m not depraved; I’m just not feeling well
