I lost a candle as a child and now I pay and pay
When lions infiltrate my teens
And me, no soup to feed them
But who are you to lead them
To the land of broken dreams
Swallow and reflect as others
Shudder at the sight:
Three men with lanterns saunter through
Their lanterns bright (and bright)
The widest saunters up to me
His toothpick barely matted
He said one word to me
And that was "dead" — I said to him:
Heave ho!
When every vandal is a child they learn you pay to play
The most surreal of closing scenes
And when the script is written
Only a fool is smitten
