Look at her she’s beauty’s very breath, but why this discord in her
harmonious grace, she seems to think her life is just a slow death, she
got up to find a better seat and all she did was lose her place, and now
the sun is just a black hole, and her heart of hearts is just another lost
soul.
And the earth cries come to me I will hold you in my arms, and the sky
is in tears for her absent lover.
She looks out across the horizon then just looks down at her feet, and
she turns out the light and puts the book back on the shelf, she just
feels so sour and the world still seems so sweet, must be sad to always
be so disappointed in your self, why all this hurt she’s not in pain, its
just water all this rain.
And the earth cries come to me I will hold you in my arms, and the sky
is in tears for her absent lover.
Her senses shift to make room for the seasons, but the heavens just
sigh and the earth just shudders, life’s mysteries and rhymes escape
without reasons, the violin just shrieks and the singer just stutters, but
she goes and treats the answer like a riddle, she sees the wonder and
the passion but she just stays in the middle.
