I Wish I Knew Lyrics

Michael McGuire I Wish I Knew

I WISH I KNEW
© Electric Babylon Music Author: M.M.

I can be lost if I want to be lost, illusion is the buyer reality the cost,
I’ve been looking and all I’ve found is today, the buddha knows but the
buddha don’t point the way, but your closest to flying standing on the
ledge, and sorrow is less of a gamble then a pledge, to each his own to
each his all, the truth is on the rise in this fall.
And here I stand like I’ve got it all figured out, but I speak from
sincerity and doubt, here I am trying to tell you, when the truth is I
wish I knew.
My heart is in a snare my soul is sick, there is an atmosphere between
me and the world that’s three feet thick, communication is the secret
but now I just cant speak, and the world seems so slapstick and tongue
in cheek, all the loser’s are winning but their kingdoms are for sell,
there’s but a vague sense of direction though we know the way so well,
and I’m trying so hard not to try, I’m in wonder but not for why.
And here I stand like I’ve got it all figured out, but I speak from
sincerity and doubt, here I am trying to tell you, when the truth is I
wish I knew.
There’s a vision that befalls the blind, the apparition of body in this
ghost like mind, we dance thru ancient winds to a timeless tune, with
the limited notions of never or soon, and all that’s left of the great
romance, is this lonesome yet compelling dance, but come look my
love it’s raining stars, oh at last our world is ours.
And here we stand we’ve got it all figured out, but all we know is
sincerity and doubt, what will we think what will we do, what can we be
I wish we knew.
