A monument for the fallen
To the desolation of war
Mass multitudes bear silent witness
Their names liveth forevermore
Unknown victims
Their bodies never found
A wasted generation
Horror once inflicted
On consecrated ground

Drowning in an ocean of sadness
Amongst this vast sea of graves
Died for God and king and country
Pay tribute to the life they gave
