I ran away. Almost every day
from all the shades that are surrounding me
Now they're my friends. I want them to stay
to dim my mess - they won' leave anyway
I've tried to live. I've tried in vain.
For all that's left: I take the blame
But I won't give up. I'll try again;
and heaven knows, I might be there one day
I try to dream myself away.
It works just fine - succeeding every day.
