Tomorrow Lyrics

Please lay down your mask for a while

And try to recapture your smile

You are covered with dirt of a lost day

It's yourself that you try to betray

You still hide behind some stupid catchword

To define your superficialised world

Paralysed in social constitutions

So free from your juvenile illusions

In your eyes a fearful suspense

It nearly seems there's nothing more

To pretend

Let's explore the secrets of the sea

Or just go out for a cup of tea

You can even stay in bed all day

We don't fear the word tomorrow

Incessantly you talk about the future

With your view lost in some furniture

Go on waste your precious energy

If it pays – this doubtful luxury

What about a short trip to Calais

Drinking wine without a word to say

Or let's go to see a movie show

We live today and not tomorrow

Take your time to watch the setting sun

Let your duties be undone

Laughing naked in a flurry of snow

We live today and not tomorrow

Let's explore the secrets of the sea

Or go out to have a cup of tea

You can even stay in bed all day

We don't fear the word tomorrow
