I was buying some flowers on a moring in may
When a small child came by
And this she did say can you spare me a little

I nelt down beside her and held out the flowers
And told her to chose any one
There were bright yellow roses
And sweet violets but a daisy is all

When I asked her, her name and if she could explaine

Her eyes and she started to cry
