Sometimes the silly things children say do & ask
Don’t seem quite so silly when thought about closely
They ask why feeding the needy should be such a task
We feed them politics
They ask straightforward & down to earth questions
Which merit reasonable no-nonsense answers
But in our own ignorance to the points children raise
We feed them bullshit
They push the meat aside
Only to be force-fed
Maybe subconsciously
They question the malnutrition & starvation of children
their own age
So far awayWe feed them next to nothing
Sod the children
Sod future generations
Let’s be grown ups
Let’s force feed our children their inheritance of our
failure to understand
& respect
We feed on each other
