Yesterday I found a faded photo in the bottom of a drawer,
The kid that's in the picture, he don't grace us with his smiling face no more
I saw him on that day so long ago, he told me everything was fine
Take a good long look around this place, tell me what's not a warning sign
Was it the addiction that was kicking you around?
Was it the restrictions that the world was giving down?
Some fell victim some found solace in this sound
Everybody gets to make a choice and this is my way...
Tried to picture where you'd be today, can't see you in the present tense
I think about that place you disappeared to man, and why I never went

Wish you'd been able to see through, wish you'd been able to hold on...
