Well I left my home in a Scotia town
Moved out west where I'd be found

Well I never thought my life would change
Always thought it'd be the same
But leaving I'm still believing
That childhood dream I'll have someday
Slowly starts to fade away

So very close I could almost taste

The Scotia land I once despised

But I've still got my memories

Through the years I've wondered why
The grass seemed greener on the other side

When I set my feet on that Scotia ground

I packed it up and moved away
