The planet's life was at an end
The monuments of men were crumbling
Cities drowning in the sand
Demise of an ailing nation
The machines of greed they fed
They led their realm to starvation
Now the engineers are dead
Thus they turned the cradle into a grave
Earth took back the treasures she once gave
Deep among the ruins grew a thorn
Extinction of a race, a new life was born
Answering the last transmission
We discovered a paradise
A world of endless green
And lifeforms never seen

We began our own demise
