Eidola Glass
I lift my eyes to see
Beauty engulfed me in it's sea
I listen for it's song
I've heard hate and pain for too long
Sing of our rage, but not enough to seek change
Content enough to go without resistance
Like glass it stabs leaving me without my sight
Shards of ugliness tear at my mind
It would be easier to leave than to deal with it
To be swallowed into seas of our ignorance
I grow weary of the ways that we treat each other
The ugliness breeds when we cut our brothers down
Faith and faithless
Need to change it
We all beg
For a place to rest our heads
We just beg for a place to rest
I want nothing more than to hear that song
Resounding with comfort comfort from the storm
Until then towards the ocean I lean
And wait for currents to take me in
