I always kinda liked you so I'm not going to laugh
But it's hard to listen to you make a myth
out of my past and I know it's hard to keep
Out of that easy lie about how much better
Things were for us once upon a time
But I remember sitting drinking
On a long, dead day

About what they say
Cause that is never gonna be

And maybe I'm just bitter cause
I was never part of it but your scene
Looked kinda empty from the outside
In it was mostly punk rock coat racks
With 60 minute hair who were too
