I remember the days out in the field
mama's love shinin' bright as the sun
she showed me a narrow path to follow
all the days of my life
but, now I know those days are gone...
I wanna go home
...but the narrow path she showed me
turned into a thousand winding roads
and regret chokes the wisdom in my eyes
my heart turned calloused, cold (so many years ago)
