Demise Of Eros Overtaken
You know through what I've become.
My days have been as night.
My nights have been like death.
The breath I received reeks of ashes.
That which was meant to bring life.
Is like decay in my mouth.
Twilight has quickly arrived.
I have been caught unawares.
Has the end already come.
Was this planned long ago.
I wake to an eclipsed sunrise.
And lie down beneath a moonless sky.
If you were to leave me in this night.
I would be like one abandoned to the grave.
As I run this darkened winding path.
I remember a promise made before I had met you.
That you are with me always.
Until the end of age.
Though I sense you not I will trust those words.
I press on, continuing toward an unknown.
Surely I am close to being overtaken.
My pursuer is swift of foot.
And I stumble on broken feet.
